  • Odourless, inert and fully compatible with all standard building materials & components.
  • Will not accelerate corrosion of steel, copper or aluminum.
  • Will not sustain vermin.
  • Will not breed or promote fungi, mould or bacteria.
  • Non-hygroscopic.
  • Rot proof.
  • Dust settlement will not hamper the products performance.

ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Insulation products are made from glass mineral wool, one of the most environmentally friendly insulants available.

Sustainable
Insulation products are made from silica sand, the earth's most abundantly occurring mineral and a sustainable, infinite source.

Recyclable
Approximately 50% of the raw material used in the production of products is recycled. The recycled material can be post-consumer glass (from housing) or waste glass from flat glass manufacture, which would otherwise go to landfill.

Environmental
The manufacturing process doesn't to use or contain CFS's or any other damaging gases. In addition the unique compression packaging means more insulation in a smaller space - the result is better vehicle utilization, reducing the environmental impact of transportation.

TOOLS NEED FOR INSTALLATION
A wood saw
A tape measure
A balancing plank (to prevent ceiling damage)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.       Measure the distance between the timber roof trusses.
2.       Cut the Aerolite while still in the bag to the correct width to snugly fit the space between the roof trusses.
3.       Roll out the Aerolite firmly between the roof trusses on top of the ceiling.
4.       It is advisable to lay the Aerolite underneath any wiring and to cut around any down lights to allow heat to escape.
5.       Wrap off-cuts around pipes to prevent them freezing in winter.
6.       Recommendation:  Wrap geyser for further energy savings. (A special geyser blanket is also available).
7.       Warning:  Be careful not to step on to the ceiling board as you may damage or fall through the ceiling.

HANDLING & STORAGE
Store undercover, and in dry conditions. Store flat. Handle with care, especially on the edges and corners, which can be damaged if subject to sharp impact. Do not apply excessive pressure, for example by standing or sitting on the product, as permanent damage may be caused.

SPECIFICATION
Install (50/75/100/115 mm) thick flexible non-combustible light weight "Think Pink Aerolite" fiberglass insulation material of 11 kg/m3 density between trusses and over brandering / purlins in completed roof and ceiling systems. Installation strictly in accordance with manufacturers detail & specification. Sizes as per architect. NB: The higher the thermal resistance value (Rval) the better the insulation performs).

TOOLS NEED FOR INSTALLATION
Batts are designed around the frame/stud system for ease of installation, therefore minimal tools are required. A sharp knife/blade will come in handy for off cuts and for slitting batts to fit over piping and conduits.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.  Open packaging allowing space for the initial immediate recovery of compressed product.
2.  Push individual batts firmly into the cavity space with glass tissue facing on the exposed side.
3.  Use sharp knife to slit the Cavitybatt to encapsulate piping/conduits.
4.  Use sharp knife to cut batt around any plug points.
5.  Make sure that there are no gaps which will cause thermal leakage.

HANDLING & STORAGE
Store product undercover, and in dry conditions.  Store flat.  Handle with care, especially on the edges and corners, which can be damaged if subject to sharp or heavy impact.  Do not apply excessive pressure, for example by standing or sitting on the product, as permanent damage may be caused.

SPECIFICATION
Install (51/63/102 mm) thick self supporting non-combustible lightweight Cavitybatt Glasswool insulation offering a thermal performance of Rval (1.34/1.66/2.50/2.68) for heat and/or acoustic control. Install strictly according to manufacturers detail and specification.
